Perfect day to form some footings. Walls tomorrow.
Back from vacation and hit the ground running. Day one of an addition project in Guelph: Electrical service disconnect, re-work electrical feeds, gut a basement bathroom and kitchenette, demolish the garage. I think thats enough for one day!
A little trusscore anyone? This was our first experience with trusscore. Its a great way to brighten your garage or shed and can be washed down with a pressure washer. Also its locally made up in Palmerston.
Final grade driveway prep and digging out for the shed base. We ran out of good wether in the fall and couldn’t quite get it finished. Its going to be all concrete with an exposed aggregate finish.

Few things are more satisfying that a super solid set of stairs and rails. When the stairs don’t squeak and the pickets don’t rattle and the posts are solid. Of course they have to look good too. All of the above…achieved.
Vinyl stair caps to match the floor. Hardwood railing with wrought iron pickets. Coming together real nice. Cabinets are getting their finished touches tomorrow. Its all coming together.

One of the cool parts of remodelling older homes is what you can find buried in the walls. We donated a boot and doll that we found during demo and the historical society wrote an article on it and its now on display in a museum. Very cool!
